One month down and we are off to a great start! Everyone has adjusted beautifully during our transition month of September. Parents – you were all fantastic as well!  It is not easy to let go of your little ones! Thank you for sharing them with us with ease. October will be a busy month here at Holy Cross Preschool . We have so many autumn and of course Halloween activities planned! To keep you informed, each month you will receive a newsletter and calendar which will include all of our important dates and themes. We will also handout reminders or put up signs at the door, so be on the look out. This information can be found at Jelly Jar photography will be here for our individual and class photos on Thursday, October 4. Let’s hope for a beautiful, sunny day! We will not do any messy projects that day so send the children in their photo ready outfits! There will be a make-up picture day on Friday October 5, if your child is sick. We will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on October 4th as well. Please make sure to have your child bring in a stuffed animal of their choice on that day so that we may go to the church to have it blessed. The children love this activity and it is a great way to introduce them to the church. Next, we will learn about fire prevention and safety procedures. We will have a visit from a real fire truck from the Rumson Fire Department! The children will see the fire truck up close and hear from a real fireman. As Halloween then begins to “creep” up on us, get ready to take home many fun decorations! We will be creating ghosts, bats, spiders and witches!! Our Halloween party will be on Wednesday October 31st at 11:15am. Please be sure to mark your calendars so you are able to join in the festivities! The children should come to school at regular drop off time dressed in their costumes. Please – no masks as they can be scary for some children. Mrs. Bridda and I cherish every day seeing your children learn and develop. We love to see the wonder and enthusiasm in their eyes when we approach new topics and projects. Thank you for all of your support. We look forward to a great year!
