January Newsletter

Welcome back and happy New Year! I hope you and your family had a great holiday. Your generosity never ceases to amaze me. I’m positive there are many people warmer this winter because of your donations of hats, gloves, scarves, etc.

January will be a very busy month in the preschool. We’ll wish for snow and hopefully be able to play outside. If we’re lucky, we may even get to build a snowman outside our door. I was told that if you wear your pajamas inside-out it would snow, so cross your fingers and get out the pj’s. If the weather does cooperate, please send hats, boots, mittens, etc., we do try to go outside every day.

This month we will be discussing colors. Be sure to keep your calendar handy or check the web site so you will know when to have your child dress in red, blue, or even purple! Example: on yellow day wear something could be a bow, socks, or a t-shirt with something yellow on it. If you can’t find the color..we’ll make do with something, don’t worry. Also during this time, we would welcome any “colored snacks.” Orange slices, purple grapes, blueberry yogurt anything that corresponds with the color of the day and the day after.

Along with the primary colors, we also will be studying black and white animals. You will be pleasantly surprised at the interesting facts your child will learn. They’ll be sharing their knowledge about zebras, Rocky Mt. goats, penguins, panda bears, and whales. **We need tall Pringle potato chip containers and lids for a very special project. Also, our supplies from the beginning of the year are low..any help is appreciated.

Finally, thank-you so much for being such a great group of parents..I really appreciate you and your children so much. If you need to reach me:, or call school anytime.
